… at least to me it is.
Just laffed my asssets off at this post on a blog I love, 100 Words A Day.  Said post does have a strong cuss word in it, but if you can handle that I think you’re in for a laugh.
I love that blog.  It ranges from humor to poetic prose to downright TMI, but the good kind of TMI – humans exposing frailties and such.
And most of their posts do NOT have cuss words in ’em, just in case you are delicate about that sort of thing because I know most of my dear Jannie Funster readers are purer than the freshest fallen snow.  🙂

Merry Christmas, everybody!!!

Her Santa list was…
an i-Phone
an i-Pod

a baby sister
and to be shrunk to 2″ tall.
(She got the Wii.)

So far we’ve baked cookies, heated cider, decorated the tree, skated on ice, scampered along the Trail of Lights, sat on Santa’s lap, wrapped and sent presents, sent cards, plugged in the outdoor lights, which I keep in the trees year ’round, (only have to put them up again in 11 months anyway,) saw a wonderful church Christmas play, gave money, made a gingerbread house, attended her piano recital… yet, I still want to do more!  Caroling on our block tonight or tomorrow night and Church on Christmas Eve, of course.  But what else?  Any more yule fest SUGGESTIONS?

I know it’s a very little thing in the Grande Scheme Of Things, but Kim Woodbridge over at (Anti) Social Development (thanks for the tip from Blogger For Hire Vered,) went rooting around in my site code and actually got the date, time and numbers in my comments!!!  It even worked retroactively.  Plus, she got my stats and SEO plug-in going (not that I know what to do with those yet but they’re there and waiting.)
And Barbara Swafford at Blogging Without A Blog done writ me up as “New Blog Of The Week,”  to which my initial reaction was Wayne & Garth’s to Alice Cooper, “I’m not worthy. I’m not worthy.”   But I soon got over it and bought me a throne.   And a bell to summon the servants.
Don’t you just want to run rampant through my newly vamped comments?
Don’t you just want to race over here and lift your glass to me?
Don’t ya just want to fling the star up on my tree?
Shit, the star!  I forgot to put up the star.
See ya!
[Or… how would you help me celebrate these momentous blog events if you were here with me right now?]

Yeah, Cindy Lou Who?

Okay, Mama Zen’s up to her tricks again and you’re ALL tagged, the whole darn bunch of ya,  starting with Shay Fireblossom who’s gonna get a complimentary plate of fudge for participating.  So here I go.

Five Things I Love About Christmas

1.  The Trail of Lights here in Austin, TX, USA
2.  Not having to shave the legs to attend said Trail of Lights.
3.  The scent of bayberry, still searching for the exact smell of that candle Mom had when I was a young ‘un.  Some say L. Cohen has one.  But he’s not so good at returning calls or e-mails.
4.  Shiny gold wrapping paper.
5.  Christmas Eve church service, the hush and the joy. (I always cry a bit in church.)
6.  SIX!?!?  (But eet ees meme sacreliege, non, to add annuder?)   (Please repeat previous sentence aloud in the accent of Chef in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” or Jannie might have a Blue, Blue Christmas, without you.)
(Please note:  No non-Christmas celebraters were meant to be harmed during the creation of this post.)  (Jannie’s a Shiksa, remember?)
