Yay! My brain finally caught up with my heart on these give-aways, so I’m changing things up a bit today!!
(Drum-roll please!)
Firstly, I am lumping ALL remaining gifts into this ONE post, and will announce the winners in a new post Saturday. (Maybe Sunday, if I start jumping off the roof into the azaelas again.)
Secondly, it feels weird making you come back to re-comment for my cds and Billy Collins poetry, when you have already left such touching words. So… Lovely Peeps, for my 5 remaining cds on offer and for the 4 remaining Billy Collins… I will be considering all new comments that come in on those, plus all the wonderful comments you already left that have not yet “won.” Even comments on the Donut Hole Post that launched this whole escapade! Such sweet words!

I’m going to showcase today’s final 12 prizes in a minute, but first let me recap all the give-away winners so far…
Monday’s winners, based on their wonderful comments were…
SuZen — my cd.
Fireblossom — Billy Collins’ “The Apple That Astonished Paris.”
Gina — “Blogging For Dummies.”
Toni Cross — the Marilyn Monroe notecards.
And (another drumroll please) I will now reveal yesterday’s winners, based on their persuasive comments…
Snaggletooth — “Inner Productivity”
SuZen — “Twitter For Dummies”
Glenn — Billy Collins’ “Questions About Angels”
Daisy — my cd (that one was hard to call.)
Congrats to all so far. Now, on with more give-aways!! 12 things to gift commenters with in this post. Specifically….
1. one of my “I Need A Man” cds!
2. another of my “I Need A Man” cds!!
3. another of my “I Need A Man” cds!!!
4. another of my “I Need A Man” cds!!!!
5. another of my “I Need A Man” cds!!!!!
6. Billy Collins’ “Nine Horses.” Who wants it? And why?

7. Or maybe Billy Collins’ “The Art Of Drowning?”

8. How about Billy Collins “Ballistics?” You want this one, right?? Sure you do!! Just tell me why.

(“Ballistics” is a hard-cover.)
9. How about “Singing For Dummies?” Come on — you know you want it!! Why should I send it to YOU??

(whoops, there seems to be a little rip in one corner of the back cover. sorry ’bout that, mates)

10. Or maybe “The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Singing” is more your style?? Who wants it??

11. Oh, wait! I see another Billy Collins here… Who wants “Sailing Alone Around The Room?”

(Shoot, I do have another Billy Collins book, which I cannot find. That’ll have to wait for a future give-away.)
12. Oh, the very first picture in this post — me in my lucky blue hat in my bathroom mirror, holding up a Tori Amos book to photograph with my iPhone? That book is on offer here today too.
Here’s the front of it…

But folks, I gotta tell ya… Jeanne may already have won the Tori Amos for her amazing comment on my Monday post — unless someone comes along and tops her!? Is any of you more of a Tori fan than Jeanne?? And if so, can you convince me enough to win the book?
Ahhhh, this is great!! So much fun.
And my Deep Songwriting Week is going so awesomely!!!
I miss all your blogs, of course. Like crazy! It’s been 3 whole days since I’ve allowed myself to read any. I’m so jonesing to read and comment — but I must soldier on with my song-focus plan.
I bet you’ll see me out and about in the blogosphere this weekend! 🙂
Happy St. Pat’s

Twitter For Dummies
I still have zero clue most of the time
what I’m doing on Twitter, so please
forgive my unknowing ways and wish
me roses and rhubarb and to never
get my Internet service chopped off.
And please come over to our house, so
I can grill you a steak how you like it!
Unless you’re vegetarian or vegan, in
which case I’ll whip you up my famous
tofu-almond-squash surprise, served
with herbed-roasted red potatoes and
salad. And as much wine as you want!
Just don’t puke on the carpet. But even
if you do, I’ll still love you more than I
love two cold beers on a hot Texas night.
— end of poem
Now that I’ve got that out of my system…
Dudes! Remember when I wanted a Chris Edgar “Inner Productivity” book, and for my friend to have one toe? Well, I did buy me one of Chris’ AMAZING books, and another for my friend who so far has blessedly kept all her toes. And fingers! (She did lose her head once, tho. But haven’t we all?)
I’m offering a third copy of “Inner Productivity” on give-away here today. So, who wants it? And why? Persuade me in a comment below!
“Inner Productivity, A Mindful Path To Efficiency And Enjoyment In Your Work.”

Item number 2 on give-away today… “Twitter For Dummies.” Who wants it today? And why?

Speaking of poetry, here is another item on offer today. Who wants Billy Collins’ “Questions About Angels?” And why?
And don’t worry! I still have 5 more Billy Collins from my personal book collection to offer this week too — so, please don’t give up commenting to win them! Many of your comments will touch me, but alas I can pick only one person per gift.

And the final item I’ll be giving a persuasive commenter today — my “I Need A Man” cd!
I still have 5 more of my cds to give away here this week, too — THREE of them on Friday, so — please, please keep commenting as to why you’d like to give my songs a home, and a cd may soon be yours!! )

Okie-dokie.
Hope you guys will have a great day. I know I will, deep in Songwriting Zone, weaving and breathing all those snippets of tunes into complete ones.

(Amber, Suzie, Me, Kelly: Kelly’s 5th birthday.)

Hey, guess were I’m off to this week??
To Deep Songwriting Zone! Well, starting tomorrow — ’cause today I’ll be hanging out with the 3 beautiful people above, plus little Emily.
Songs — time to focus on my next 12!
Give or take a title or two, the next ones are…
1. Will You Come See Me In Nova Scotia?
2. Everybody Cries Sometime
3. Goin’ Down To The River
4. Love To Spare
5. Are You Ready For Love?
6. Love Will Be The Answer
7. You Could Love Me Good
8. Keepin’ It Simple
9. Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself (Save That Job For Somebody Else!) 🙂
10. Let’s Drink Up The Stars
11. Sadder Than The Ocean
12. Will You Miss Me?
Alas, in deep quiet songwriting mode from Tuesday to Friday (Kelly will be packed off to gymnastics day-camp) I probably won’t be getting around to your blogs as much as I’d like to — the thought of which pains me. I am not a fan of missing a single word of your posts. And if I’m not answering your comments here in writing this week, please know I’ll be answering each of you in my heart. And smiling in your general direction.
All that being said…
It’s Give-Away Week here!!! Four gifts each day — including one of my cds daily! And on Friday — THREE of my cds, plus 3 other gifts.
(For a complete list of all the prizes this week, please see the end of this post.)
How will I be picking winners? Funny you should ask!
Each night, before I lay me down to sleep, (about 10:00 Texas Time,) I’ll read the comments and pick the daily winners based on whoever leaves a comment that touches me deepest as to why they would like a particular item. And I’ll leave a comment saying who won what. Sound fair? (Subjectively fair??) 🙂
Are ya excited??
Really excited??
Let’s go!!
Today we have on offer…
1. “The Apple That Astonished Paris,” Billy Collins “first real book of poetry” after 2 chapbooks and numerous publications of his work in well-known reviews. (I actually will be giving away all 7 of my remaining Billy Collins this week. What good is his brilliance to me, gathering dust on my shelves?) (This book is in excellent condition.)

(Sorry ’bout the fuzziness of this next photo, back cover of the book. The fuzziness it’s a long story, one I might tell you when the moon is in just the right phase.)

2. “Blogging For Dummies.” Released 2008. A goodie! (Book in good condition.)

3. Marilyn Monroe notecards with envelopes (one envelope minisculey larger than the other 3, but still highly serviceable.) 🙂 2 each of 2 poses. (Cards practically new!)

4. One of my “I Need A Man” cds. (Brand-new in shrink wrap.)

So, anything sound enticing? And why?
Please note: You are ALL welcome to comment on any and all item(s) !
Have fun, and I’ll see you in a comment here tonight!! Whoo-hoo!!
xoxo

Remember yesterday morning I took this picture of MY bench?
And remember I promised to go back that afternoon with my donut and decaf, after the sun had swung around for optimum light, to photograph the view from where I often rest my somewhat toned buttocks?

Could I sell all these personal treasures on eBay and put the proceeds towards my Dream Camera? You bet your rootin’ tootin’ blog buttons I could!
But I’m GIVING them all away.
Because giving is good.
And so are you.
And I’ve been inspired by a very giving blogger to follow in her footsteps of generosity. (I highly recommend availing yourself of her RSS feed button — it’s free, easy and puts a smile on her lovely face.)

Toodles. xoxoxo
(all park bench photos in this post were taken with my iPhone.)

I took this picture a few hours ago. Can you believe this picture shows the same bench, last early October?
Pretty radical, eh??
I plan to go back to my trail bench today around 5:00, relax on it with a decaf and a donut, and take a pic from it, to show you the other side of the tale. The sun has to be just perfect, of course!! Lighting is all, don’t you think? How much attention do you pay to lighting in photos?
Tomorrow I’ll post the one I’ll be taking later today! God willing, of course. 🙂
You gonna like it. A lot! (I think.) (I hope!) ? 🙂 (and why the heck has my second smiley face gone awry?)
Whoo-hoo!!
