P.S. That woodpile of Dad’s? Mom married her handsome chainsaw guy 51 years ago!!
P.P.S. My American friends — 11/08/2006 means 11th August, 2006, not November 8th, 2006.
P.P.P.S. The littler girl is Kelly – then age 4, the bigger one my niece, Alyssa then age 6.
🙂
Whoo-hoo.

*This refers to Clup Penguin, of course.
P.P.P.P.S. Jannie loves you.

As a newborn she wore the Bambi shirt. Now her doll wears it.
Kirsten, American Girl Doll — 18″ tall.
Kelly at birth — 18.5″ tall.
Kelly today — very petite for her age. But perfectly perfect in every way.

Happy Birthday, Angel. Mom and Dad love you more than anything!
I know you’re not officially 9 until 2:10 p.m. but I couldn’t wait to post this!! Of course you’re sleeping now anyway.
Sweet dreams, Angel. Sweet dreams.

Is it okay to be gay?
Of course! Why wouldn’t it be, if you are?
Is that 55 words yet?
No but seriously,
All you really need to know is love is love,
the great equal opportunity rainbow refractor
of well-meaning hearts and minds everywhere.
Love — always the way to go, in sun and rain and snow.

Is it too late?
too late to plant sunflowers
dance the fandango
leap from the chair to the table
wear spandex
take up mosaic art
bob for apples
string a guitar
call France
eat maple sugar
play the tuba
learn Braille
learn Norwegian
learn to yodel
learn to love eggplant
post my Friday Flash Fiction 55?
methinks “Hell No!” on all accounts.
(The above shennanigans is a Friday Flash Fiction in 55 words for the G-Man who will “visit, read, enjoy, comment…Then BOOK!!” if you let him know you’ve posted a 55 to your blog.

Dearest Lovely Peeps,

Howdy!

Kelly started back to school yesterday.
And I returned to My Bench after a long summer away.
Remember My Bench last winter?

But enough of the past!
This morning I sashayed a full 20 minutes along the trail, coffee in hand, fully clothed — then took off my shirt at Lou Neff Point. It was hot already at 8:30!
(Don’t worry — I was wearing my sports bra, of course.)
(My stretch pants did have a big hole in the rear, but I’m pretty-sure no one noticed.)
The sun was shining directly on My Bench (I try to avoid UVs) so I did my exercises on a shadier bench across the way, let’s dub it my Buttocks Bench. Or my “Morning Bench.”

After 10 minutes of buttocks tucks, sit-ups, leg lifts and such, I arranged my shirt and sunglasses on My old Bench, now called my “Afternoon Bench,” to take these pix for you with my iPhone.

(I tye-dyed that shirt myself last winter at Kalyani‘s. Not bad for a first go I think.)
A minute later, back on the trail (long tee on again) I captured these swans for you.

I LOVE our hike and bike trail!!
Can’t wait to get back there tomorrow after I drop Kelly at school.

Then maybe go shopping for some new stretch pants.
🙂
