What would be on YOUR list of things not to rush?
Kelly was 4 when she was a flower girl at Jimbo and Terri’s wedding.
(My old camera was dying then and had taken to turning all light pink.)
Friends, have a Grrrrreat weekend.
Love, Jannie

You will have friends who carry you.
And times when you will carry them.
You will have friends who drift away,
allowing new friends to draw closer.
You will have friends long after
I am but wildflowers in the woods.
Cherish them. But most of all,
cherish you. And the love ever
reigning over and under and
in and on everything, like the
oceans of your father’s eyes and
the music in my heart for him.
My dVerse Open Link Tuesday thoughts.

And thinking I’ll add a 4th photo to this post, sometime in the next coupla days!
A picture you’ve never seen before of Kelly’s ocean-eyed dad.
So, come back, if you wish!

The year I was born, 1964,
our friend “Uncle” Jimbo, then 19,
served his first of 4 Vietnam tours.
Jimbo, who videotaped Kelly’s birth.
Jimbo, who honored her this morning
by accepting her invitation to appear with
other Veterans in her school ceremony.
Jimbo, quick to laugh, love and lend a hand.
Jimbo, gift of a human and friend.
I reckon that was 55 words (non-fiction today) for The G-Man.
I’ll explain the Red Hatter thing sooner than later.
The hand on Jimbo’s shoulder in 2001 belonged to his sometimes-nice-but-more-often-crazy ex.
Luckily, he soon met and married a VERY nice lady, Terri. Kelly was a flower girl at their wedding, 2005.
Here we all were at Lake Buchanan…
Jimbo and Terri are AWESOME!!

when she wakes
to find a snow
of comments
has fallen
on her blog
in the night,
she dances
a little dance
in the castle
of her heart
where angels’
guitars are
storming
the morning
with waterfalls
and mountain calls
that make the
sunshine sing.
That’s Jannie’s (my) submission for Open Link Night, week 17, at dVerse Poetry.
And here’s fresh snow on a castle…
Never been there but I did enjoy other beautiful parts of Germany in 1999 with my AWESOME penpal Doris,
who mailed me this photo of herself years before we met in person. She’d been to Australia…
5 guitars…..
The Beach Guitar was Kelly’s class’ fund raiser project at her school when she was 6.
Twinkles & Sprinkles y’all…

about 3 yellow cars in 55 words?
That when she took
the photos she was
wearing her $18 hat
and had just shared
a strawberry rose
with the child she
marvels at daily?
That she photoshopped out
the bird poop from photos 1 and 3?
That poop does sometime happen?
But fertilizer is the stuff of growth.
And love is ever at the helm!
G-Man is ever at the helm as our Friday Flash Fiction 55 host.
Write a 55, post it and let G-Man know.
He WILL pop over and comment.
