let’s go down to the river
and fill our socks with rocks
and moss and popsicles.
let’s climb the vines to
heaven’s rooftop garden,
turn day’s dimmer down
and disappear into
dustings of gold on a
castle’s windowsill.
and let’s remember —
love is always the castle and
we are always the gold.
(or, an even better ending
here on June 14th 2014…)
we are the castles
and love is the gold!
My beer for the Party Today.
Dedicated to all who ever read this.
And to all who ever won’t.

Edited the poem a bit at 3:58 Texas Time on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012.
It needed a castle.

a.k.a. Evolution Of An eBay Corner.
Or…
So THAT’s Where Jannie’s Been.
60 gallons of 100% recyclable packing peanuts in that big black bag on the desk!!
Sometimes I get little eBay corner visitors.
With all my selling lately and all I plan to do…
I sure appreciate the packing and shipping help!
Let’s go back in time now, shall we…
to when I had less shelves,
2 weekends of yard sale treasures ahead of me, and a blue guitar still only dreaming of its Big Adventure…
Now, back even further, to my eBay corner turning point…
Shelves!! Repurposed from another room.
I’d come a looooooong way from my humble beginnings at a desk Kelly no longer used.
Thank you, Kelly!
And thank you, Jim — for all that woodwork fashioned by your own two hands from c. 1996 to 2000.
(Where that archway is… was once a wall!)
Thank you, thoughtful lady for the surprise gift of Mumford the Penguin (top photo) we’ll always cherish.
And thank you, Universe for giving me eBay and all the beautiful people who buy FUN stuff.
Anyhoo — enough BLOGging about it, and more actually WORKing at it…
🙂
To photos, descriptions and weighing packages I go!

And a photo edited-in at 10:18 A.M. TEXAS (& Tulsa?) 🙂 time Tuesday, July 24th, 2012….
Took this at the P.O. yesterday!! 🙂 Those 11 packages were MINE, whooooohoooo.
Sooooooo proud of me!!

(Soda can guy is actually a kit.)
That the glasses were pre-owned by Super Special Secret Agent Gage T. adds much to their allure, I think!
Lots of boy energy from that yard sale — fun.
I know I’ve shown y’all that pic of me and Sister Rosie before. Couldn’t find the one I was looking for.
Oh well, one to look forward to!
I still have and sometimes wear the shirt I was wearing up there 18 years ago!!!
(Liara, that was taken on the lower deck of Mader’s Wharf —Â Mug & Anchor pub in Mahone.
I DID blonde up my roots yesterday morning at 6:30,
I realize KitKat and I have exactly the same hair color,
I bought a new mascara!!!
my blue guitar ended up going for $170.00 AND…..
I still have my little acoustic one to play — how lucky am I!!!!!!!!

Oh, and my toenails will be painted tomorrow morning by light that’ll stream in on angel wings.
(Blue guitar photo and iPhone effects by Kelly, summer 2011.)
whooooohooooooooooooooo…..
This morning I was up early festooning her old stroller with the bunting I made for her trike when she was 2.
We got to the park about 9:00.
Took a couple of kittehs along in case other families wanted kittehs too.
I think those 2 are both placed!
At 10:00 we paraders were ready to take flight down the street.
And we did!
Had a little problem with kitteh containment at first, but soon they settled down for the 10-minute ride.
 Â
Refreshments were yummy.
Greased watermelons were vied for by wrestlers.
Kelly did her best to hold her own in her age division, but a brawnier girl landed that melon to shore.
Now I’m home with her dad watching tv and she’s out with friends behind a boat on that thing.
She’ll get to watch the fireworks at the 360 Bridge tonight with said friends on said boat, here…
I’m happy for her.
And happy I’ll be spending a quiet evening in with her dad, ahhhhhhhhh.
Happy 4th y’all!!! Is it great to be free, or what!!????!!!

whooooohooooooo.
A real working vintage Pooh phone bought at a yard sale.
Pre-owned sneaks. Worn by somebody very very cute in this post.
I SO wanted to paint the Hello Kitties,
🙂
but onto the auction block they went.
A fish tank toady.
A sparring set, whooohoooo.
Piano books that were lined perfectly in straight rows until…
kittens had their way with my arrangement.
Sold the Camry tail light!
Kept KitKat.
Actually… in July I’m giving away a free kitten with each car part sold!!!
🙂
These 4 little cuties, now 8 weeks old! (6 weeks old in this photo with their mother, Mieshka…)
But back to how I’m making millions on eBay!
A bug habitat that only ever housed one teeny little black frog…
And another yard sale gem, kids’ golf clubs…
As to the 2 items I did not sell…
I ended the tennis raquet early to give it to a little boy who visited us.
AND…
I was going to list this yardsale windsock, but I thought how Mom would like it for her garden.
Mailed it to her last week.
Hey, remember that old perfume jingle, “Your windsock stays on my mind?” Classic little ditty!
🙂
But wait — don’t worry. Jannie is not ALL work and no play with her new part-time day-job, plus all this eBaying.
Sometimes she lounges here…
They even have WiFi at the community pool so I can work on eBay there– how good is my life??!!!
Now, off to check on my latest auctions…..
