Wow — her first 9.5!
And so sweet of Blue Bunny to think she deserved an 11. 🙂
For that “performance” she placed 7th of 35 girls in her age division last weekend at her 3rd-ever meet.
What a great Level 5 USA Gymnastics bars moment!
She’s worked amazingly hard.
Now I am off to play work amazingly hard on eBay and songs, but mostly eBay for the next little while — while drinking wine and coffee, but probably not at the same time. 🙂
And I look forward to lots of fun blog-reading-and-commenting breaks, whoooohoooooo.
Y’all take care now, ya hear!!

Sometimes you watch them
from an umbrella or a window
or a harbor castle’s keep.
Whatever a keep is.
Something that holds
things in I guess.
But there’s no holding in
kids or flowers with hearts
and minds of their own.
Sometimes a poem that starts
about children playing in morning rain
after a birthday slumber party
ends in a grand revelation
that this year your impatiens
must’ve roamed off to Rome.
But… you sweep the
walkway for this post,
Postie’s on the way,
and even with Rome roamers,
you know everything’s still good.
Really so very wonderfully good.
With love to all you AWESOME-sweet ones.
Have fun out cavorting in the wild-flowered poetry meadows . See you there soon!

Yes, I watered them all summer!
(The kids AND the flowers!!)
Probably just need to upgrade my soil.

I commend that young lady in red, who only weeks ago cried her little heart out after a disappointing balance beam day.
But following utter devastation she got back on the beam, worked harder and…
this past Saturday won 4th at her first-ever gymnastics meet!!!
Ironically, I didn’t catch Miss Athlete #314’s beam score, but see her floor, vault and bars below…
Sooooo proud of her.
And during the 2-hour drive home she said…Â “Thanks, Mom for taking me all the way there, and for paying for my gymnastics, and everything.”
You’re welcome, Baby. You’re so welcome.
She was only 10 then.
And today ELEVEN!!!!!
Love, Mom

(Did that bun myself. So easy once you know how!)
Build a song on
foundations of rock
…
jazz blues & soul.
…
frame it with
guitar sky open
to hope.
…
leave roof
rafters bare
to the moon.
…
plant grass all
around and hear
how all grows
…
from the flow
of your soul
…
to the stars
…
and God’s
…
front porch
…
above you.
Is that 55? Words , I mean? I DO know it’s Friday!!
And that some angel will buy that amp from me on eBay soon.
Sorry amp pic is a bit fuzzy — Blue Bunny’s been into his cups again. 🙂

P.S. I still have comments to answer and blogs to read — and I will!!
it would be about two
pairs of golf shoes soon to
dance away on eBay,
a Chocolate Sun
spray tanner dreaming of
honeymoons in Hawaii,
and the joy of labels printed
at home today on my brand -new
pre-owned Canon !!!! And…
about a kitten who peed twice
in a dishwasher, then weeks later
boldly returned to the scene.

Yes, if I were to write
a poem today all that and
more would be in it, but
______________
I’m not writing poems
today — I’m eBaying, as
you can plainly see…
