Little resentments
will I release to
the leaves of the day.
Little loves will I
set free on the breezes
of beautiful intention.
(end of poem.)
[Edit: I switched the order of photos 1 and 2 on July 6, 2010 at 10:29 a.m. Texas Time because the first one freaked Lynn out and Dr. J. loves the second one!] 🙂

Congratulations!
Wasn’t it amazing to enjoy a full bath tonight, after almost 7 weeks of partial baths with your cast wrapped in bags?
You’ve been such a trooper!!
Even with two broken bones you’ve kept on slugging away.
You’ve kept on shining up this town,
and shining up our lives.
You’ve stopped to not only smell the rosemary — but to roll in it.
Remember how excited you were 3 weeks ago when that big cast was switched out for the little pink one?
AWESOME day!
Wow — remember how clean that cast was? (For a while.)
It didn’t stay so clean, you being an active kid and all.
But you did keep it dry, as per doctor’s orders — that was important.
You kept it so dry that the day of your 3rd Grade day trip you cried and cried.
Boy – when the other kids hit the water and left you on the shore most of the day — that was NOT fun for you.
Or for me.
So much crying. You. And me. But I hid my crying, mostly.
Yet, you smiled some that day too!
You loved the sailing.
You were dubbed “Dancing Monster” in the nick-naming ceremony…
LOVE that smile!
That broken arm didn’t stop you from hanging out with really great people…
from playing board games,
from learning how to tie balloon animals,
or from getting the inside scoop on how to make really cool inexpensive costumes. (That boy’s a lobster.)
And that broken arm sure didn’t stop you from eating watermelon with your friends on your tree house deck!
So, congratulations again, Super Girl!
It’ll be fun to have a cast-off party for you tomorrow night and finally fill up your swimming pool for the summer.
Whoo-hoo!
BTW, you know that smile on you above? The one I captured a few minutes after your cast was off today?
That is one GREAT smile!! Do that more in pictures, will you? I know you’re self-conscious about your growing-in teeth, but don’t be. Full smiles look really, really good on you!

I’ve been waiting 2 years for this post.
Two years, People! (Because it’s a trio photo thing, as you’ll see.)
An exciting time Chez Funster, as next Friday Kelly graduates from “Little” Elementary to “Big” Elementary at her school.
Yes! Our angel will swoop under the time-honored “Arch of Life” as we celebrate the Pre-K kids moving up to Little El, the Little Els moving up to Big El, and the Big Els moving on to new schools.
It’ll be fun!
It’ll be GRRRREAT!!!
We’ll laugh.
I’ll cry.
Kelly’s just finished her “Golden Year” of Grade 3 — having spent grades 1, 2 and 3 with some wonderfully amazing teachers and friends! (At her school they have 3 grade levels combined in the same classroom.)
In the “Big El” classroom, she will complete grades 4, 5 and 6. Then move on to a new school here in Austin. (If we haven’t moved back to Canada first.)
Actually, having been born here — Kelly will be moving “to” Canada. For Jim and me it will be moving back.
(Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 — that’s First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Grades for all you Yanks, from this born-n-bred Canuck. 🙂
Can you figure out which 2 teachers she had for two years each, you lovely Sherlock people, you?? 🙂
Remember Sherlock Hemlock from Sesame Street?
But I digress.
🙂
Yep, Kelly’s finished her full 3-year cycle, people!
Whooooo-hoooooooo!
(Actually, she’s the age of someone graduating from Second Grade — but more on that in June, 2013)
She’s soooooo excited to be reuniting this coming fall with a few of the girls who had moved up to Big El!! They’re SUCH nice girls.
And it’s SUCH a nice school.
And today is SUCH a nice day.
After I post this I’ll be eating lunch, taking a bath, and having lots and lots and lots of FUN, FUN, FUN!!
Just one week of school left until 10 weeks summer vacation!!!
Life twirls on, is GRRRRREAT and…
She got her full arm cast off yesterday!!!!! Thrilled to be in a new short one! Doctor’s office yesterday with iPhone…
Free! Her elbow is free to move about again!! New cast comes off in 3 weeks, so it’ll be 6 weeks+ 6 days total casting for this particular broken bone experience.

If you read my last post, you know that Kelly won’t be doing any of that bouncy stuff for many weeks to come because…
… she broke her arm. Again! (Broke it in a bouncy house, not during gymnastics.)
Oy yoy.
In Other Major Woes… 🙂 … I’m hungry, VERY behind reading blogs, something’s gone wacko with my Comment Luv, my Windows Movie Maker program won’t recognize any of my iPhone videos, even tho they seem perfectly legit with the .MOV extension. And another video-related glitch has besieged me.
But I’m sure I’ll get it all worked out!
And there’s peanut butter and bread in the cupboard, so off I go.
Oh, and I’m closing in on my “Let’s Drink Up The Stars” lyrics — one of the 2 new songs I’ll enter in Kerrville Newfolk in 2011. So, whoo-hoo on that, People!!! Whoo-hoo!!!!!!!! 🙂
