This morning I was up early festooning her old stroller with the bunting I made for her trike when she was 2.
We got to the park about 9:00.
Took a couple of kittehs along in case other families wanted kittehs too.
I think those 2 are both placed!
At 10:00 we paraders were ready to take flight down the street.
And we did!
Had a little problem with kitteh containment at first, but soon they settled down for the 10-minute ride.
Refreshments were yummy.
Greased watermelons were vied for by wrestlers.
Kelly did her best to hold her own in her age division, but a brawnier girl landed that melon to shore.
Now I’m home with her dad watching tv and she’s out with friends behind a boat on that thing.
She’ll get to watch the fireworks at the 360 Bridge tonight with said friends on said boat, here…
I’m happy for her.
And happy I’ll be spending a quiet evening in with her dad, ahhhhhhhhh.
Happy 4th y’all!!! Is it great to be free, or what!!????!!!

whooooohooooooo.
A real working vintage Pooh phone bought at a yard sale.
Pre-owned sneaks. Worn by somebody very very cute in this post.
I SO wanted to paint the Hello Kitties,
🙂
but onto the auction block they went.
A fish tank toady.
A sparring set, whooohoooo.
Piano books that were lined perfectly in straight rows until…
kittens had their way with my arrangement.
Sold the Camry tail light!
Kept KitKat.
Actually… in July I’m giving away a free kitten with each car part sold!!!
🙂
These 4 little cuties, now 8 weeks old! (6 weeks old in this photo with their mother, Mieshka…)
But back to how I’m making millions on eBay!
A bug habitat that only ever housed one teeny little black frog…
And another yard sale gem, kids’ golf clubs…
As to the 2 items I did not sell…
I ended the tennis raquet early to give it to a little boy who visited us.
AND…
I was going to list this yardsale windsock, but I thought how Mom would like it for her garden.
Mailed it to her last week.
Hey, remember that old perfume jingle, “Your windsock stays on my mind?” Classic little ditty!
🙂
But wait — don’t worry. Jannie is not ALL work and no play with her new part-time day-job, plus all this eBaying.
Sometimes she lounges here…
They even have WiFi at the community pool so I can work on eBay there– how good is my life??!!!
Now, off to check on my latest auctions…..

Do not fret that
you couldn’t catch
the yellow’s tail.
Rejoice that you’ll be
first out of the gate when
the light goes green.
Do not fret that you
are selling memories
for money on eBay.
Look how Curious Kitty
painted his awesomeness
into art for the Universe.
Look how you get
to spread some Princess
love to other little girls
while financing
your awesome daughter’s
awesome gymnastics.
do not fret.
do not fret.
do not fret.
And should a big unsightly
pole mar your sunset photo,
just paint that puppy out!
end of poem for dVerse Poetry Tuesday Open Link.
by Jannie-Bo-Bannie who is trying not to fret about how much this new day-job thing has thrown my available blogging time for a loop.
Miss you all! Will be out as soon as I can.

i slipped away from
the noisy librarian to
the gare st lazare
where water lilies were
tumbling off a gendarme’s
shoulder onto the hat
of a lady in a
long silk shadow of
marriage proposal.
later i saw
bridges holding
up clouds
and horses with
haunches like home-made
fudge hardening.
then the
sun bounced
and i fell back
into the day
with the librarian
banging books
onto the shelves
like she was stacking
cord wood for winter.
~~ end of true poem.

i photgraphed the book’s pages with my iPhone, and the top photo i took with my Kodak at home today.

fluffy butt
thinks she
owns this
house and
everything
in it, and
truth be told
— she most
likely does.
~~ end of poem
Somebody cute has a new napping spot — atop the placemats in the dining room.
She woke in curiosity as I took these pics, but soon went back to slumber.
Happy dVerse Poetry Open Link Tuesday!
