Isn’t she AMAZING!!?!!
Earned 9.250 for that at our just-ended Junior Olympics competition season, Level 7.
And what a season it was! One of great growth, development, learning, perseverance, travel, friendship and fun.
So proud of that shiny little gal who always gives it her best!
And isn’t their new team leotard Absolutely Freakingly Fabulously GORGEOUS!!

It’s not even Tuesday
and I’m posting a poem
to show you improvements
we’ve made to our home.
I’ve been storing / selling
some stuff for a friend,
seemed those boxes
would never-ever end.
But an angel came over
and helped lug ’em out.
Then with my broom
i danced all about.
I covered the old garden
with a perfect-sized rug,
put the blinds up myself,
then gave me a hug.
With a fine shipping table
and lots of bubble wrap,
shelves, then inventory
that was pretty-much that!
The view from there
is this one you see…
where here at my
laptop i usually be.
No more of this now
to haunt me by day…
just a tidy little nook
for my growing eBay.
~~ end of poem
Posted with love to all my buds.

P.S. All construction here (including stained glass install) built by Jim’s own 2 hands, 14? 15? years ago, an addition to our house.
He helped my store-nook dream come true by ply-wooding over that big square in the floor which once housed an indoor garden that had waned over the years.
The indoor garden was not making me money so it HAD to go!!
Speaking of eBay — back to it, Baby!!! I had a slow Dec. but January is picking up.
xoxo again.
And here’s a photo edit-in on Friday Jan. 17th, at 3:21 p.m. Texas Time.
Shipping Desk cat “Clue” KNOWS he’s not supposed toΒ be up there, naughty boy.
(We recycle old swimming pool noodles as cushioning material to help pack delicate items. Sometimes people just give them away at the yard sales where we get a lot of our eBay things to sell.)

Yep, she came in second for that routine Sunday in Dallas, with a 9.2. (The winner scored 9.3.)
Not bad for her first meet as a Level 7. Not bad at all.
She vows, “Next time I won’t have those 2 little wobbles, and will perfectly stick my dismount. I AM GOING TO GET A GOLD MEDAL ON BEAM THIS SEASON!!! And bring my floor, bars and vault up to at least 9.0s too.”
You go, Kelly-Girl, you GO!!! I KNOW you CAN do it.
And so our competitive gymnastics meet season starts…..
whoohoooooooo.

1. go pour some wine
2. go make some tea
3. go eat some candy
4. go eat some cake
5. go eat some pie
6. go pop open a beer
7. go scrub the bath tub
8. go rinse the bath tub
9. go enjoy your bath
10. go call your mother
if you’re lucky enough
to still have one
and if your mom
has passed on, write
exactly this in an
email, text or
on A Real Piece Of
Paper to one of
your
friends or
relatives…
“I am grateful
for the gift of
you today,”
and
see what
happens.
(that message
of gratitude also
works beautifully
with significant
others, especially
ones who only
grow cuter and
sweeter with
time.)
(my S.O. is even more
handsome now than
when I first met him
all those years ago.)
Love, Jannie
Happy day to all.

P.S. That first bit was close to 55 words, eh?? π And it IS still Friday…
Comments:
Enjoying our scrapbooking gymnast.
Enjoying my new desk. I kept me a Capodimonte mug!
Enjoying The Gymnast’s ’round-the-block steering lessons.
Enjoying choosing and mailing a birthday present to my sister.
Enjoying posing a Carlsbad Caverns paperweight with a sleeping KitKat.
Enjoying the Monet print Jim got at a yard sale for FOUR DOLLARS, FRAMED!!!! That’s Mah Man!!
My man on the move — always full of surprises. π
What do you think those 2 by the sea are saying, Sara? Or anyone?
Enjoying our ‘keets, Sunny & Angel. Unfortunately, Chico (the blue one who replaced Timmy) shot out past my hand a few weeks ago at feeding time, executed two backyard high loop-de-loops, soared over the treetops, and I’ve not seen him since. π
Hopefully he and Timmy are out there having fun together! π
Enjoying friends.Β Tracy Funster & Mardi Funster.
They rock!
And they jazz. And they blues.
Enjoying photography experimentation with mid-century glass.
Enjoying going through my old iPhone song idea clips. Could a song about buttocks be coming one day to a theater near you??! I think so!! π π π
The chorus goes like this…
Everybody’s buttocks are beautiful,
No matter the shape or size.
Everybody’s buttocks are beautiful…
in God’s eyes!!
Enjoying seeing and hearing about The Gymnast’s improvement on the apparati.
Enjoying hearing the same about her team mates.
(I love how her pose mirrors the iron tree behind her in that pic!) I swear it was not planned. π
Enjoying selling stuff on eBay.
Postie comes right up our walkway when I schedule a package pick-up, whoohooo!!
Posties Rock! Especially a certain poetic one I like.
And here’s a photo from this morning…
Track at 7:00 a.m. — part of summer gymnastics.
Team trains 35 hours a week during summer, what a rockin’ gym!!
Monday to Friday mornings we’re either at track or the gym by 7:00. (And up at 6:00.) Oy. π
2 of the 35 hours are ballet, where she and her team-mates dress up all matchingly cute.
So…
I didn’t mean to go almost a whole month without posting, but you know how it goes sometimes.
Life’s been calling.

P.S. Most of these pix are a bit fuzzy ’cause my good camera broke. π
But you know what? Take pictures when inspired, no matter your camera quality! These are the moments of our love.
Now… I’m off to drink some wine!!
